New Germany Store is a pump first, pay-when-finished gas station. We do not have card payment on the pumps. Rather than upgrading dispensers we can operate on lower margin and pass the savings on to you.

Old Fashioned Business

Cards are convenient and usually safe. We also like to use cards and accept all major credit cards. However, cards cost the business that accepts them. Where do you think all those nice points and perks come from?

Because of this reality we choose to offer a 3.5% cash discount store-wide, including at the gas pumps. Bring in cash and save. Or use your card and get whatever perks you are offered at the other end. Either option is perfectly fine to us. Though we would hate to see the disappearance of cash as an option, that would be the loss of a freedom.

Old Fashioned Gasoline

Corn based ethanol supports American farmers and helps provide a cushion in the global food supply. (If production falls too low more of this could be diverted to food instead of fuel.) But, while most modern engines do just fine on ethanol blends, antique vehicles, boats, and small engines like chainsaws and lawn mowers perform best on pure gasoline.

We are pleased to have non-ethanol gas available for those engines that prefer it. We can also provide very competitive pricing on this product. Fill up your boat here on the way to the lake and enjoy substantial savings.
